Scenography & Spatial Design

Good scenography isn't a backdrop — it leads the audience, builds tension, and directs attention just as precisely as direction or editing does.

At rewir.studio we design space using methods rooted in parametric architecture, developed at, among others, the Royal Danish Academy of Architecture in Copenhagen and in the practice of Bjarke Ingels Group — the architectural background that helped shape our studio. This blend of architecture, theatrical scenography and digital technology runs through our work for the Słowacki Theatre, the Śląski Theatre and the Jewish Theatre in Warsaw, from the first sketches through to construction and installation on site.

A key tool in our process is 1:1-scale VR previsualisation — before the set exists physically, the client can walk into it, judge proportions, spatial relationships and audience flow, and make informed decisions long before production begins. This minimises the risk of execution errors and lets us test spatial variants far faster than a traditional design process built solely on static visualisations.

We treat every project — a theatre production, an exhibition, an event space — as its own narrative and architectural challenge. Our goal isn't striking form for its own sake, but an environment that supports the story, deepens its emotional weight, and stays with the audience long after the performance or event has ended.
