Maciej Czuchryta
Director and set designer, a graduate of the Stage Design Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and of Directing at the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice, where he currently teaches scenography.
As a set designer he has worked with repertory theatres across Poland, including the Śląski Theatre in Katowice, the Słowacki Theatre in Kraków, the Jewish Theatre in Warsaw and many others. He was responsible for scenography, multimedia projections and lighting direction.
Creator of “Simple Songs About Death” – a narrative VR experience inspired by the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. The project premiered at the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art in Prague (Art VR festival) and was subsequently shown at the 64th Kraków Film Festival, the “Still Human” exhibition in Seoul and further exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
For over three years he was with Platige Image as a director, art director and Unreal Engine generalist. In 2025 he took part in creating the immersive exhibition “Romantic Chopin”for Art Box Experience – directing and co-creating the VR experience and the immersive animation. In 2026 the exhibition won a Webby Award in the Best Immersive Experience (Apps, Immersive & Software) category, receiving the People's Voice Award – an audience-voted award – competing among others with Metallica's immersive concert experience on Apple Vision Pro.
He is currently creative director of rewir.studio.
