Romantic Chopin
The Romantic Chopin project involved producing a 10-plus-minute animation inspired by the life of Frédéric Chopin. The material became an integral part of the exhibition's main immersive projection — a sequence of images guiding the viewer through the emotional and artistic turning points of the composer's life, synchronised with music and the architecture of the space.
The process involved developing an original method for processing 3D animation so it would read as oil painting. Instead of the usual, digital look of computer animation, the images gained texture, chiaroscuro and the depth of a brushstroke — a painterly character in keeping with the Romantic era Chopin lived in.

The immersive exhibition “Romantic Chopin” won the People's Voice Award at the 30th annual Webby Awards — one of the world's most significant honours for digital projects, described by The New York Times as the “Oscars of the Internet”.

The production also combined animation craft with scenographic experience, so every sequence worked not just as a standalone image but as part of the exhibition's coherent visual narrative. Rewir's work on the immersive space contributed to the success of “Romantic Chopin”, honoured with a 2026 Webby Award in the People's Voice / Best Immersive Experience category.
